How to create links

How to create links

  1. Highlight the word or part of the sentence to be linked.

  2. For internal links: Drag the data object, e.g. editorial, to the highlighted part of the sentence (drag&drop).

  3. For external links: Use the link symbol in the WYSIWYG editor.

Linking phone numbers

When creating a clickable link to a phone number please make sure you respect the following requirements for the field “Phone number”:

  • always use international notation (eg +41..)

  • no empty spaces

  • no special-chars (except “+”-sign)

example: “+41719114949

The visible / readable content in the field “Display Text” can contain spaces or whatever text you want to display to the user. The recommendation is to always use a clearly understandable / readable format so a user can always recognize a phone number (and copy / type the number if desired).

changing links – important to know

If you want to change an existing internal link pointing from https://www.enableme.xyz to the community-subdomain https://community.enableme.org you have to remove the link first! If you just change the URL in the editor, the link will still use the “www”-prefix and therefore not work.

This is a known bug in PIMCORE’s RTE-integration, see also here https://github.com/pimcore/pimcore/issues/8928
