  • Get started by knowing the problem and pain points of your potential client (companies)

And know what your value (unique selling) proposition (USP) is:

  • EnableMe is a global community of problem solvers

    • EnableMe is a platform for pwds and a resource center

    • EnableMe is building inclusive social circles

    • EnableMe is a one-stop-shop for problem solving

    • EnableMe is a tech-based system - thus approachable from everywhere and expandable to every place and topic

    • EnableMe is anonymous and free of charge

    • Value proposition:

Value proposition for us is in 3fold. 1. Information Portal: livelihood opportunities (Job opportunities, business opportunities, school bursaries, etc), assistive devices, medication and health matters, good practices on management of specific disabilities or health conditions, etc. 2. Directory of services: For investors looking to come to Kenya to invest in assistive tech, make sales, for Kenyans looking for info on Government services, where to find what in which office or portal

Community engagements: Personal interactions, sharing experiences, DIY solutions to day to day hacks for different impairments, or different plug ins that private sector can use.

Core functionalities

  • Content targeting a multitude of potential users (across disability type)

  • Online services

    • E-learning and training

    • Talent access services

  • Online community

How to generate income from the EnableMe platform to make it financially sustainable?

JOBPLATFORM

  • Companies are seeking and developing team-members/employees with disabilities as they have pledged to become (more) inclusive: listing internships, jobs etc., but also providing content for job-seekers with disabilities

  • Question: who is the main audience? Companies looking to fill their positions or a/our community of job-seekers?

  • We need to make sure that we are in the intersection of both interests and cater for those by all our offers (community, content and special projects)

  • i.e. not a job advertiser, but an inclusive employment portal raising awareness and offering respective jobs and information, training and consulting

→ This assumes an active community already. Need to focus on the community as a prio first. We do not offer a typical job platform but focusing on easing the whole life journey

PHARMA

  • information on health conditions and medication to educate patients

  • Offering a platform according to internal guidelines and ethics in order not to sell medical products via the platform

DIRECTORIES

  • Developing online directories to assistive devices, places of treatments, therapies etc.

  • Building the infrastructure and list their services: content about the services from the care providers

  • Are businesses paying for prominence of placement? Services need to be close to clients, therefore finding services should depend on this

  • Also potential to crow-source services

  • Nothing about us-without-us as a shared concept among EnableMe for every service that is being provided

Income generation is the last point of the building of the venture. First focus on community and content, listen to the needs and adapt offering locally.
Once we give value income will come.

ENABLEME SAFESPACE

  • Develop a safe space for international company clients who want to create an inclusive workspace.

  • Give employees a safe platform to read work-related content around disabilities, to exchange with peers anonymously, to learn about their rights, to give feedback and suggestions for improvement to the employer in an anonymous manner.

  • Workspace-specific focus

  • Companies are committed to employee’s wellbeing

    • Employers are struggling to know where to start from when making their company disability inclusive
