Field | Explanation | Link inspiration or example | Screenshot |
---|---|---|---|
Moderators announcements | Make this a separate field. Possibly without a commenting function. It will give an opportunity to highlight the topic of the month and the information from the content side that we see fit without mixing it with the Q&As. |
Activity: Recent discussions | The last 10 recent discussions should be visible further up Switch between last 10 recent and top discussions (e.g. with most views) |
Overview: 3 boxes | Test how far the 3 boxes are used for navigating to the right category. Instead of the 3 themes place:
| ||
Personalization: Bookmarks | Showcase the bookmarked categories. Or even better: the activity in the categories I have bookmarked as a user. In a specific field. |
Activity: Featured topics | Featured top discussions for the year OR selected discussions by the moderation OR discussions with most views Featured content - link content and community |
| |
Contact | More prominent space for showing the community email |
Recent discussions, trending discussions and unanswered questions | Add a tab to switch between recent, trending and unanswered |
Profile Action Items | gives you steps to follow to get the most out of your profile (should also have a dismiss button though, in case someone does not want to complete these steps)
Onboarding steps |
| |
Group icon | In this case leading to ‘spaces’ but would be great to have an icon where the notifications are to get to the groups. |
Language selection | Language selection at the top of the page to make it easier to find. |
Answer Questions button | Similar to the button we have as moderators - lets users find the questions that have not been answered. Could be nice to have it at the top (but have to be careful that the top does not get overcrowded). |
Article feed | Side feed to feature recently published articles. (Could be interesting if the community also linked to more content?) |
Q&A button | Top bar including Q&As - could be a space to link all the specific how-to posts etc. |
X of the day | A daily activity → could be a poll, could be a specific post, etc. that is shown in a different window. |

Draft 1 thought process (B.)
Notes:
Is tracking entry points possible or using heat maps? - Yacine to talk to Blackbit and get back to us within a few weeks time. It would be possible, we will just need to decide what we want to track exactly and linking Matomo.
2. Proposed changes:
Slider bar not possible for 3 boxes under ‘EnableMe comunity’ banner. Vanilla does not have Javascript for this to be possible.
'Editorial picks' box - changing link / image frequently could be problematic. Need to define what exactly we want in this space.
Yacine suggestion - Have the EnableMe comminity banner present before siging in with the search bar underneath this.
Once a user has logged in remove banner as no longer needed and move search bar up. This frees up space once signed in.
Blue box on landing page
- Need to think about what main points we want to have in this.
- Easy to change as content related changes.
- Main point is to not communicate the same thing twice.
- Need to first think about what do we want to say and the message we want to display in this box first.
Two main points from this meeting:
Space optimisation.
Content we want to present.
